Zen Production Equipment Limited are a leading supplier of production equipment to the electronics manufacturing industry in the UK.

 

We are currently looking to enhance our service team and have a vacancy for a service/support engineer.

 

The duties of the engineer are as follows: –

 

Customer site visits – arrange visits to existing and future customers to install, commission, service and repair systems supplied by Zen Production Equipment Limited (ZPEL)

 

Advise the customer of any upgrades available for the system that would improve productivity or save energy.

 

Advise customers of the availability of new equipment that would enhance their production throughput.

 

Customer telephone support – exploring the issue with the system and where possible advise the customer how to temporarily repair the system so they can still produce until an engineer can be on site to repair the system.

 

Contact our suppliers via email or phone to arrange visits or discuss machine issues.

 

Pre-acceptance visits – you would be expected to visit suppliers with the customer to carry out pre-acceptance trials on specific systems.

 

General – the position is UK wide, so travel will be involved including nights away from home, all expenses will be reimbursed.

 

After training you would be expected to contact customers and generate work for yourself and run your own schedule, you would report directly to the service manager/Technical director.

What we need – a qualified electrical/electronics engineer with a mechanical bias willing to travel throughout the UK and Europe.

An understanding of pneumatics.

Full driving licence is essential.

Proficient in Microsoft operating systems.

Someone who can work as a team and alone when required.

Ability to arrange your own schedule.

 

Location – as we are based in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire we would prefer a candidate from the Midlands but this would not be a restriction for the right candidate.

 

Equipment training – initial training will be given at our offices or at customer sites but some may be undertaken at the manufacturers facility, this will mean travel to Germany, Czech Republic, possible Switzerland and Italy.

After training you would be expected to adopt at least 1 of our supplier products and become the company specialist but it is more likely you would become the specialist in the complete range of equipment within time.
