IPC Hand Soldering Competition
Compete to be the best Hand Solderer in the UK
Do you or does someone you know have what it takes to win at hand soldering and win an all-expenses paid trip to San Diego?
The reliability of electronic equipment is ensured by zero-defect soldering processes. This contest recognizes the best skills in hand soldering complex printed board assemblies. Participants will compete against each other to build a functional electronics assembly within a half-hour time limit. Assemblies will be judged on soldering in accordance with IPC-A-610G Class 3 criteria, the speed at which the assembly was produced and overall electrical functionality of the assembly. IPC-A-610 Master Instructors will serve as the judges.
The IPC Hand Soldering Competitions take place all around the world and WNIE Live once again hosts the UK competition in 2018. This year the prize for the winner of the IPC Hand Soldering Competition is to be flown to take part in the global championship final in San Diego!
In the video below, Debbie Wade from ART explains a little more about the competition taking place at WNIE Live and how you can get involved.
